Getting Started

New to Volunteer.box? Here's how to get up and running in minutes:

  • Sign up — Create your organization account with just an email address
  • Add volunteers — Import your existing volunteer list or add them one by one
  • Create your first task — Set up a task with date, time, location, and volunteer requirements
  • Assign volunteers — Match volunteers to tasks based on availability and skills

Core Features

Volunteer Management

Keep track of your volunteer community. Each volunteer has a profile with contact information, skills, availability preferences, and assignment history. Use traits and groups to organize volunteers by capabilities.

Task Scheduling

Create tasks with all the details volunteers need: what to do, where, when, and for how long. Tasks can be one-time or recurring, and you can track status from created to completed.

Projects

Group related tasks under projects to keep large initiatives organized. Projects can have their own volunteer teams and timelines, making it easy to see progress at a glance.

Calendar Views

Visualize tasks across day, week, month, or agenda views. See at a glance what's coming up, what's fully staffed, and where there are gaps that need attention.

Automated Scheduling

Set up recurring schedules that automatically generate tasks. Define the pattern (daily, weekly, monthly), time slots, and how far ahead to generate. The system creates tasks automatically so you don't have to.

Feedback Collection

After volunteers complete tasks, they can submit feedback through simple forms—no login required. Capture hours worked, rate the experience, and gather notes about what went well.
